This event is dedicated to helping my friends find a moment of genuine stillness in a busy world, but everyone is welcome.

Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or this is your first time exploring meditation, you are invited to simply arrive, breathe, and be exactly as you are.

We will provide you with a link to tune in to before the event begins.

What can I expect at this meditation event?
This is a Guided Passive Meditation designed for deep restoration.

0:00:00 - 0:05:00 - We will begin with a brief vocal orientation to help you settle into your space and relax your body.

0:05:00 - 0:50:00 - Once we are grounded, the guidance will shift into a "minimalist" phase. We will be playing curated, relaxing music and/or nature sounds, and I will reduce talking almost completely, which is the primary purpose of this meditation: to clear the mind and tune into the body/sensory experience. This intentional quiet allows you to rest within the sound without the distraction of constant instruction.

0:50:00 - close - We will conclude with a soft re-entry to bring your awareness back to the present moment.

About passive meditation:
Clinical evidence supporting its use for health and recovery, including:

• Brain Health: Strengthening areas linked to focus and memory while calming the parts of the brain responsible for overthinking.
• Stress Management: Lowering cortisol levels through proven techniques to improve overall physical well-being.
• Systemic Balance: Shifting the body out of "fight or flight" and into a restorative state of rest.
• Holistic Healing: Frequent reports of feeling spiritually healed and more deeply connected.

Find a quiet, comfortable spot to sit or lie down. If the space has clutter, trash or anything unpleasant or distracting try to find some time to clean, organize and even decorate your space to your liking.

I recommend using headphones or a nice stereo system for a more immersive experience. While light ambient sound in your meditation space is fine, try to avoid or silence any background speech (unless it's muffled and unintelligible/not distracting or thought provoking), as it can interfere with the benefits of this specific style of meditation.

Movie buffs happy hour + Fight Club watch
Join us for a happy hour at Bender’s Bar to hang out then afterwards we will walk over to watch ‘Fight Club’ at AMC Westminster for a special 4K remaster. We’ll discuss the film a bit together after watching it.

Happy hour is from 5:00-6:00 PM and movie starts at 6:00 PM. Movie tickets are about ~$11 total with tax. You're responsible for purchasing your own ticket.
