Re: [newtech-1] smartphone killer app

My hierarchy of needs goes like this:

1.? Phone
2.? Text
3.? Email
4.? Map
5.? Anything else you can give me that makes my life better that fits in my jeans pocket when it's 85 degrees or above and I'm not wearing a blazer/jacket or carrying a bag.

That's why a smartphone is required... its a lowest common denominator thing.? Everything else increases my function, but I can't take my ipad on a date - so its not gonna help me when she wants to check out a new place and remembers the name but not the cross streets.

Maps has got to be part of the 'kill app suite'. I remember once this
summer my pedal broke off my bike (yeah, literally came off while I
was riding). I was able to locate the nearest bike shop within a
quarter mile using Maps (on Android) and get it fixed.
