Re: [newtech-1] Startup Hotspots in the NY Metro Area

There is no "hot spot" in Yonkers...yet. I always wondered why some of those downtown buildings in Yonkers didn't try to get in on the tech boom. You've got the Metro North, which is 28 minutes into the city. There's the Hudson Park Apartments, which are pretty nice - lived there for a year. And, you've got some decent restaurants in the area.

I don't know what's going on in the Bronx, but I'm sure there must be something.

Okay, I was talking about like Westchester, New Jersey, Conneticut, but  I'll take a look at this.  From what I understand the cost of living in Brooklyn is pretty steep, as it the cost of office space.  Am I wrong here?

Take a look into DUMBO, in Brooklyn it's only 15 mins to the heart of the city. And you've got co-working spaces like: http://dumbostartuplab.com/

Are there any hotspots in the NY metro area for hotspots where the cost of living and office space are cheaper than in NYC?
