Ruby Nuby is partnering with RubyBayou.com to bring Ruby Nuby to New Orleans. RubyConf.org, the largest Ruby conference in the US which is soldout, has agreed to release additional tickets to support RubyBayou.com and Ruby Nuby.
We need name, email address, telephone and mailing address. I will forward this info to the organizer of RubyBayou.com who is handling this.
Ruby Nuby has arranged for free housing in New Orleans, from Nov 9th-16th, so you can arrange a vacation in the Big Easy. This offer is for anyone willing to help out with the Ruby Nuby mission either in N.O., NYC, or online.
Ruby Nuby is partnering with RubyBayou.com and other organizations to bring Ruby Nuby Camp to New Orleans. The hope is to attract the attendees of Ruby Conf back to N.O. in the late summer of 2011 to help out with the Camp which will teach RoR to professionals in the region who will learn alongside disadvantaged and at-risk youths. Mentoring relationships will be created along with bridges that cross socio-economic barriers. Hopefully, in this iteration, we will have a Startup workshop that actually funds local startups that the participants of the camp will form.
Please join us in New Orleans to do social good in a region that has suffered greatly and to build the RoR community.
