Dear CASSE friends and colleagues in the DC Metro Area,

I rarely do this type of thing, but I’d like to recommend a unique workshop to be held in Washington, DC. I have it on the good word of the Maryknoll Office of Global Concerns (the first faith-based organization to endorse the CASSE position on economic growth) that the workshop draws a clear connection between personal lifestyle choices and steady state outcomes. I’ve also heard that the preceding skit is quite entertaining and enjoyable. See details below.

Subject: Tool Sharing Workshop
From: "Kathy McNeely"

Dear Colleagues,

Please mark your calendars, spread the word and RSVP for this upcoming
workshop sponsored by the Affording Hope Project, Faith and Money
Network, Lazarus Church, The Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns,
Ecolocity, the Peace and Social Concerns Committee of the Quaker Meeting
of Washington DC.

Tool Sharing, Building a New Future:

A workshop on personal, ecological and economic transformation

Join us on DECEMBER 4TH AT 2 - 7 PM $20 includes optional dinner meal
AT THE FRIENDS MEETINGHOUSE OF WASHINGTON http://quakersdc.org/
2111 Florida Ave NW (a block or two west of Connecticut Avenue NW)
DuPont Circle Metro - North exit, Red Line ( a few blocks)
for a full afternoon of theater, community discussion, workshops,
information sharing, fellowship and food.

_Tool Sharing, Building a New Future_ will kick off with a presentation
of _Leaps and Bounds [1],_ a one-woman show traveling the country
drawing great acclaim. Captivating and educational, this show is
inspiring faith communities to examine the mandates of faithful living
in relation to our current economic and ecological crises. _Leaps and
Bounds_ will function as the launching pad, setting the tone for
personal reflection and conversation regarding practical solutions.
Several advocacy and local actions groups will help us get "hands on"
with the work of building a sustainable future and provide valuable
resources for continuing engagement. Finally, we will share a healthy
meal and learn about local food initiatives in the DC area.

The event goes from 2 pm to 7 pm (the optional meal begins at 6 pm). The
cost of participation is $20. Early registration is encouraged as meal
tickets are limited. Please visit to learn more or reserve your spot!
Please contact [address removed] [2] with any questions.
