Re: [PhillyPUG] Programming Retreat in Costa Rica

Hey Daniel,

We ask participants to spend the first 2-3 hours of the day learning, and then can spend the rest of the day working on whatever they like. This could be more working, or remote work for your day job.

Does that answer your question?

Also, if anyone else has questions, feel free to reach out to me directly - no need to clutter the mailing list : )

Cheers,
Casey

Hey all,

I'm organizing a programming retreat to Costa Rica this fall (September - November). It'd be great to see some Philly Pythonistas come out : )

Participants will come together for 3 months and code 4 days a week, working on side projects and learning frameworks they might not have a chance to focus on in their daily lives. The first half of the day is spent on learning - the remainder of the day can be spent on more learning, or on freelance / remote / startup work.

We're not commercial and won't be making money from the retreat - we're just looking for some awesome people to come down and build stuff with us. The only costs are rent at the hotel we're based out of ($400-$700 / month), food ($400-$900 a month), and airfare.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Cheers,
Casey
