What we're about

We are a diverse, friendly group of Pythonistas in the Philadelphia area. We regularly host presentations during the academic year (from September through June), have monthly project hack nights, offer a yearly Introduction to Python class, and host social meetups in the summer and holiday season.

We have had many local speakers such as Dana Bauer, Dustin Ingram, J. Jessy Li, and Michael Becker, and attracted international speakers such as Jacob Kaplan-Moss (BDFL and co-founder of Django, Head of Security for Heroku), Travis Oliphant (creator of scientific library NumPy), Frank Wiles (President of the Django Software Foundation), and Tom Dyson (Founder of Torchbox, creators of the Wagtail CMS).
