KJUG is back! Zapraszamy na pierwsze po wakacyjnej przerwie spotkanie kieleckiej grupy JUG. Tym razem spotkamy się stacjonarnie, w Garażu (Kielce), żeby wysłuchać prezentacji “Fantastic dates and how to find them” Arka Sokołowskiego (Director of Engineering @ Remitly) & Julii Łuckiej (Team Lead @ Ocado).
📍 Abstrakt:
Did your software ever crash after moving to a different time zone? Did daylight saving ever made you having repeated timestamps in logs? Should we care about a leap second? And in what timezone the Moon is?
Date and time is 1st class citizen in Java for a couple of years already, but this domain has a lot of traps and caveats. Together we will try to tame that fantastic beast!
