Is your workday a series of breakthroughs, or a constant battle for focus?
In a world that monetizes every second of your attention, the ability to perform "Deep Work" has become a rare and valuable currency. Join us for a meetup where we deconstruct productivity into its core elements—from the neurons in your brain and the challenges of neurodiversity to the systemic flaws in organizational management.

During this event, we will explore the three pillars of effectiveness:

  • The Foundations: Discover the neurobiological mechanisms of attention. Learn how evolution and modern technology (as well as substances and digital media) shape your capacity for intense intellectual effort.
  • The ADHD Perspective: We’re moving past the "willpower myth." You’ll learn how to design a work environment for a dopamine-seeking mind, rather than punishing yourself for a lack of concentration.
  • The System: We will look at how "multitasking" and constant context-switching kill the performance of entire teams. Through a live exercise, you’ll see how common corporate practices silently sabotage delivery speed and value.

This isn’t just another lecture about making "to-do" lists. This is a deep dive into how we actually function and what needs to change to reclaim control over our flow.

1. Artur Surówka - "How the Brain Works Hard: Three Neurobiological Pillars of Performance"
Deep work is not a single skill but a neurobiological system that integrates sustained attention, focus, and consistent behavior. This talk explains how these three mechanisms form the foundation of hard work, from the brain circuits that enable goal‑locking and attentional stability to the behavioral systems that generate persistence over time. We will explore their evolutionary origins, individual differences, and how modern environments — including diseases, drugs and digital media — shape our ability to perform deep, meaningful work."

Artur Surówka holds a PhD in physics and has an interdisciplinary background spanning medical physics, neurobiology, material science, data analytics, Big Data and AI. His academic work included research in neuroscience and computational methods, carried out in collaboration with specialists from physics, material science, medicine, pathology, psychiatry, physiology and neurobiology. He is a recipient of an individual award from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for his PhD thesis.
After many years in academia, he transitioned into industry and now works in ABB’s Motion Business, where he develops and implements AI and advanced data analytics solutions for monitoring drives and motors at the Corporate Technology Center in Krakow.

2. Kinga Bazior - Deep Work, Distracted Minds
In an era of constant noise, Deep Work has been hailed as the “superpower of the 21st century.” However, for the ADHD brain, traditional productivity advice such as “just turn off your notifications” often seems like a cruel joke. For a dopamine-addicted mind, silence can be deafening, and the struggle to focus feels like a tedious battle against one's own biology. I propose an end to guilt-based productivity and the beginning of conscious design. This session goes beyond the myth of willpower, showing you how to build an external “executive function” that works with your brain, not against it.

About Kinga Bazior: I transform HR into Human Relations, cutting out corporate jargon in favor of authenticity and agency. As a multipotentialite with 9 years in the STEAM industry, I create solutions that actually serve people, not just spreadsheets. #nofluff
I help teams regain their agency and build psychological safety—because without trust, there are no results. I support neurodivergent brains in working in alignment with themselves and turn empty wellbeing slogans into a living culture of appreciation. As a mentor and trainer, I don’t force you into a mold—I support growth "your way," stepping in with hands-on workshops that move even the toughest topics forward.
Privately: Dog mom, traveler, book devourer and a dedicated foodie.

3. Karolina Kordyś - The Myth of Multitasking - How Context Switching Destroys Organizational Performance
In my presentation I will challenge the widespread belief that organizational flexibility and resource sharing drive efficiency. Through a live exercise we'll explore how common practices in modern companies silently undermine delivery speed, quality, and team wellbeing. You'll discover the hidden costs of fragmented focus, learn why what seems like smart resource management often produces the opposite results, and understand the critical role leadership plays in protecting organizational performance. The session concludes with practical, actionable strategies to shift from chaos to flow—transforming how your teams deliver value.
Karolina Kordyś is passionate Agile Coach with almost ten years of experience in fostering team growth and driving organizational transformation. She thrives in challenging work environments and is dedicated to working with people. As a servant leader, she excels in helping teams grow and improve while supporting entire organizations in their Agile transformations.
