Read + Root

🇪🇸 (Español al fin) 🇬🇧 Whether you're an avid book worm or you have a dusty pile of books waiting to be read - this event is for you.

Read + Root is a unique event hinged on three key components:

🫖 tea time.
📚 books.
🌱 and plants.

If this sounds like an introvert's paradise - you are in good company. Keep reading.

First, we'll all meet in the tea room at Mish Mish and get settled. We'll order our drinks/snacks and chat (that's where the 'tea time' comes in 😉)

Then, when we're ready, we'll settle down and read! I'll set a timer for one hour and we'll all dive into our books (bring your own book - e-books are OK!).

You can read whatever you want! Because this isn't really a book club, it's a reading club :) The point of this event is to create a supportive, cozy space to read the book of your choice - especially if you struggle to find the time and focus to read. And ideally, we'll also be able to enjoy some quality time away from doom-scrolling on our phones...

But wait, 'what about the plants?!'

Yes, of course, the plants! 🌱

So the idea is to have a very casual, and very optional, plant swap!
If you have plants at home, feel free to bring cuttings that can be rooted. And then, we can swap our cuttings! (If you have a green thumb: rooted plant cuttings are perfect!)

As I said, the plants are a completely optional component, it's just something I'd love to try.

This is an experimental event - let's see how it goes and if we like it, we can do it again!
