Smart contracts on Bitcoin. Free pizza and beer!

Welcome to this year's first Kraków Bitcoin Meetup!

The time has been set, and we are fortunate to be hosted by our new sponsor Codete for this as well as future events.

This event will be a discussion about smart contracts on the Bitcoin blockchain, led by the charismatic "Bitcoin traveler" and twice former Bitcoin Meetup speaker Rafael Hauxley.

Rafael will be taking a general overview of smart contracts on blockchain - specifically if the Bitcoin blockchain can run smart contracts. Questions discussed will range from: What are smart contracts (a short overview), to, can a Bitcoin sidechain such as Rootstock (RSK) run smart contracts over the Bitcoin blockchain? Other discussions will take a look at major alternatives to ETH-based smart contracts, such as: WAX, NEO, Cardano, ETH Classic and others.

Rafael will conclude with a discussion on his startup: GoldPencil - inviting any and all comments, criticisms and general thoughts.

The Kraków Bitcoin Meetup is an initiative for Bitcoin enthusiasts in the city of Kraków, Poland, organized by BitSpace and sponsored by Codete. The event is held frequently and aims to connect the brightest local crypto minds together. It also aims to provide educational value through presentations and workshops for people who want to learn more about Bitcoin. Even though this event is primarily about Bitcoin, you are of course permitted to mention other cryptocurrencies :)
