Brief presentation overview

  • **Marcin Gaborski "AI Adoption Is Not About the Code — It's About the Value" - Real AI adoption starts with mindset, not tooling. We ran small group experiments, tracked velocity, quality and reliability over time, and amplified our highest adopters to build organic credibility across the team. Along the way we hit unexpected walls — our monolith deployment couldn't absorb the pace AI unlocked, forcing honest conversations about architecture. The biggest lesson: AI-generated code is not the goal. AI-generated value to customers is.
  • **Maciej Czechowski Ship Once, Regret Twice? Rethinking (cross platform) Mobile in the Age of AI” - Mobile development has never been more accessible — or more misunderstood. AI is reshaping how we write, test, and ship mobile code. Cross Platform frameworks promise write-once, run-everywhere bliss, but the fine print matters. In this talk, we cut through the hype: when cross-platform actually pays off, why web engineers are better positioned than ever to contribute to mobile, how design systems are the secret glue holding it all together, and why native development is far from being a dark art.

About the speakers

**Marcin Gaborski, Engineering Director @ Box **
Over 17 years of leadership experience in technology, having built and managed engineering organizations ranging from small startup teams to large groups of more than 130 engineers. I hold a Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication and a postgraduate degree in Data Analysis. Throughout my career, I’ve held a wide range of leadership roles—from Team Lead and Engineering Manager to Director and VP—across startups, scaleups, and global technology companies including Fresha, 7Sensing, Opera Software, Samsung, Visa, Tink, and monday.com. My work has spanned diverse technical domains, including Chromium engine porting, SaaS platforms, Open Banking solutions, noise-cancellation technologies, and developer experience platforms. I’m particularly passionate about improving engineering productivity and strongly advocate for using LLMs and AI to automate and enhance the SDLC within modern Agile environments. My personal philosophy is inspired by Deepak Chopra’s quote: “Always go with your passions. Never ask yourself if it’s realistic or not.”

Maciej Czechowski, Staff Software Engineer @ Box
Engineer with over 19 years of experience ranging from handling massive amounts of data in data warehouse, creating scalable backend systems to creating efficient mobile apps. Passionate about solving tough architectural puzzles, developer tooling, and improving product-engineering-design collaboration. Lately going into AI rabbit hole, focusing of how to get most of it while keeping engineers sane (and happy).
