  • [ENG] Dynamic Vision Sensors - their operation and applications - Hubert Szolc
Dynamic Vision Sensors (DVS), also known as event cameras, are sensors that respond to changes in brightness in the field of view. As such, they offer a number of advantages over 'classic' frame cameras and are an interesting alternative for many applications.
The presentation will discuss the principle of DVS and how to process the data received from them. A comparison with frame cameras and specific application examples will also be given.
    About the speaker:
M.Sc., graduate of the Automatic Control and Robotics at the EAIiIB Faculty of the AGH UST in Krakow. Currently a Ph.D. student at the AGH Doctoral School and a research and teaching assistant at the Vision Systems Laboratory of the Automatic Control and Robotics Department. His research interests include control of autonomous vehicles based on vision information and implementation of vision algorithms in FPGAs and heterogeneous computing platforms.
  • [ENG] Trust me, I'm a rover. What we can learn about human-robot interaction from a student rover team - Paweł Graczak & Nina Bażela
Can a student rover already be called a social robot? What factors influence the level of trust in a human-robot team? And finally, should a sleepy person cooperate with a robot? The presentation will answer these as well as other questions based on the results of the study conducted among the members of AGH Space Systems, investigating their relationship and level of trust towards their creation - a planetary rover Kalman.
    About the speakers:
Paweł Graczak - B.A. graduate and student of Social Informatics at the Humanities Faculty, AGH University of Science and Technology. Among his scientific interests are human-robot interaction, social aspects of space exploration and data science.
Nina Bażela - graduate of Computer Science at AGH, student of Cognitive Science at Jagiellonian University and Marketing Manager at Husarion. Passionate about science communication, human-computer interaction and dream research.
