Lambda Academy — School of Elixir 2018

Szczegóły
Erlang Solutions is organising the School of Elixir again!
This year we'll start on Tuesday 20th March then figure out a day that works well for the group. The school is a series of 4 tutorial classes at two hours each (17:00 - 19:00). We'll adjust dates around holidays of course.
You can apply for the 2018 edition here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd8nmmTRKiyqYB9vI2deaVD74g57QSLXZUB-S14NeLPSPOvIw/viewform?usp=sf_link
Wondering if it's for you? It might be if one or more of the following hold true:
❏ You're an Informatics (Computer Science) student or graduate
❏ You have or are pursuing a degree in a technical field with a substantial programming component
❏ You're interested in a functional programming language that is practical
The material will introduce Elixir's sequential constructs but it'll push concepts further than other resources. We'll see how to exploit those to their fullest with a project: the goal is to write parts of a Property-Based Testing tool but won't write it in full (as we only have 4 weeks).
What to bring:
A machine with a working Elixir installation if candidates are selected
Important to know:
❏ We'll close the form on Tuesday 13th March and let you know if you're in the group we select by Friday 16th March
❏ The time commitment is about 2 hours in class and another 2 on your own (a total of four hours)
❏ The prerequisites are that you know how to program: the level you'd be at with a bachelor's degree in the field is ideal
