Investment research industry is going through a major paradigm shift. Murky pricing and conflict of interest brought the research industry under scrutiny from the investors and regulators. This resulted in MiFID II regulation that among other things requires to explicitly price and separate research costs from trading costs.

Research procurement is now moving onto centralized platforms, bringing greater transparency and competition among providers. This new business model is disrupting the industry and will be put under magnifying glass and discussed during the upcoming event.

Borno Janekovic, CEO at Templeton Asset Management (Poland) TFI S.A. Borno is responsible for business development, client relationship management, and compliance. Before joining the Management Company he was leading Franklin Templeton group's distribution efforts in Central and Eastern Europe on the retail and institutional relationship side. He was responsible for business development across the new EU member states, as well as the markets further east and Israel. 20+ years in various roles in the financial industry - a deep knowledge of the industry.

David Putts, Chairman; MD of Expansion & Partnerships at Billon Group. David has been driving digital transformation and innovation in financial services for over 25 years. At Billon Group, he is responsible for having secured an FCA license in the UK, and for major international clients. Prior to joining Billon, David was a former founding CEO of 3 successful digital banks in Europe (Inteligo, HSBC Premier in CEE, and Equa bank), the head of M&A at PZU, and a former McKinsey consultant in the USA and Europe. He sits on advisory boards of start-ups in customer data platform technology and augmented reality as well. He graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and received his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
