One man. One year. How I traveled the world on 1 Bitcoin.

It's time for Bitcoin Meetup #8 in 2018, and this time we have a special treat for you!

In August 2017, Rafael R. Hauxley decided to go traveling for a whole year and visit all different corners of the world.

On 1 Bitcoin.

Rafael wanted to see with his own eyes if Bitcoin really was helping people in need, banking the unbanked and used as a valuable tool by the average Joe.

Filming every step of the way, the Polish-American went from the Pacific Coast of the US, to the Philippines in the East, through Asia and Africa, ending up in Western Europe exactly one year later. And of course, all of this starting out as a traveler on a budget, to becoming a rich traveler not on a budget (December), to a traveler on a budget again towards the summer of 2018.

Rafael spoke to countless people along the way and interviewed industry professionals wherever he went. With a full-length documentary in production (see trailer below), Rafael will reveal to the world a unique insight into how Bitcoin actually affects normal people's lives all over the planet.

But until then, we are fortunate to have him tell his captivating story at the next Bitcoin Meetup on Thursday October 25th.

This time, we will meet at Café Szafe in ul. Felicjanek, near Jubilat at 7pm.

The Kraków Bitcoin Meetup is an initiative for Bitcoin enthusiasts in the city of Krakow, Poland, organized by BitSpace. The event is held frequently and aims to connect the brightest local crypto minds together. It also aims to provide educational value through presentations and workshops for people who want to learn more about Bitcoin. Even though this event is primarily about Bitcoin, you are of course permitted to mention other cryptocurrencies :)
