Agenda:
👨🏫 Piotr Petrycki – Beyond Frontend: BFF - FullStack without FullStack frameworks
I started as a typical frontend developer - closed within a browser, but felt the urge to understand the entire ecosystem, from the browser to the server. This drive led me to explore solutions that allowed me to cross the frontend-backend boundary without subscribing to the complexity of meta-frameworks like Next.js or Remix. In this talk, I will share my journey on how the Backend for Frontend (BFF) pattern became my definitive gateway to the server side (including some nice patterns).
👨🏫 Adrian Romański – Accessibility Driven Development
Building accessible applications isn't just a matter of regulatory compliance—it's an investment in a better software development process. This presentation will demonstrate how much additional work is required when accessibility isn't considered from the outset.
The lack of an accessibility-first approach leads to accumulating technical debt, difficult code maintenance, and poor user experience.
We'll follow the story of a developer who underestimated accessibility early in the project. When it came time to implement realistic accessibility requirements, it turned out that many decisions had to be reversed and much of the code had to be rethought. By analyzing code snippets, you will see how an accessibility-first approach can significantly reduce technical complexity and improve the quality of the final product.
👨🏫 Timofei Jatsenko – Why Tree-Shaking Doesn’t Work for You
You might think tree-shaking is simple: you hand your code to a bundler, and anything unused just disappears from the final bundle. Easy, right?
But are you sure you actually know how it works?
In my presentation, I’ll show you why tree-shaking is so important – and why you need to understand it more deeply.
You’ll learn about specific directives that help your bundler better interpret your code, and we’ll review tree-shaking configurations in Rollup and Vite.
Finally, I’ll walk you through interactive examples that demonstrate which kinds of code can – and cannot – be tree-shaken.
