Shaping a Story
Szczegóły
In this Write it out meeting, we will turn our attention to narrative structure and how stories take shape on the page.
We will begin with a short recap and follow up from our previous session, with space for optional sharing and reflection.
From there, we will move into a guided brainstorming activity around how stories work. Narrative is often a balance between what feels familiar and what feels new. How do we introduce information? How do we guide the reader while still keeping their interest? A short writing task will help you explore these ideas in practice.
We will then expand on this by looking at different ways of structuring a story. What makes a story feel complete? What elements tend to appear again and again, even in very different kinds of writing? We will explore a few simple models of storytelling and use them as inspiration for our own writing.
As always, there will be dedicated writing time, optional sharing, and space for discussion in a supportive, pressure free environment.
No preparation is required. Just bring something to write with and a willingness to explore.
Sessions are led in English. You are welcome to write in any language you feel comfortable with.
We will be meeting at Vearte Galería, a relaxed and creative space in Alicante. The venue asks for a 3 euro contribution, which includes a drink and helps support the gallery.
Looking forward to writing together again.
