Open up the spring season with the Poznan Open Source Meetup series and join us again on Thursday, April 20th for a night out with the Poznan open source community at Concordia’s Expo hall.

As always, we're scheduling two talks, a Q&A session and a networking afterparty till late.

1. Improve your shell experience in 3 simple steps; Maciej Sobkowski, Antmicro

If you work with the Linux command line interface on a regular basis and you want to learn how to use shell to increase your productivity, this presentation is for you!
The command line interface in Linux and other related systems offer a set of highly capable tools that constitute some of the pillars of a programmer’s daily work. During this presentation, I will provide you with examples of useful applications and techniques and demonstrate how they can help you work within the console environment in a more efficient way, as well as show how console tools make for an excellent development environment.

2. The Hardware Puzzle: Hardware Recognition in (Real-Time) Operating Systems; Patryk Koscik, Antmicro

Whether it's a small RTOS deployment or a robust desktop distribution, hardware recognition is an integral component of any operating system, essential for accessing and utilizing hardware capabilities. This presentation explores mechanisms that constitute the backbone of this functionality, covering topics such as hardware peripheral recognition in embedded devices, device trees and peripheral enumeration.
