Andreu Ibanez is Google Developers Group Lleida Founder and lead organizer, Co-organizer at GDG Spain, mentor admin and speaker in the Google open source programs Google Summer of Code and Google Code-in. Siarhei Krupenich: Android Is Not Just Mobile: Lessons from TV, Auto, and WearAndroid is more than a mobile platform. This talk explores how development differs across Android TV, Android Auto, and Wear OS, focusing on platform-specific constraints, interaction models, and architectural trade-offs. Based on real-world experience, the session highlights practical lessons that go beyond traditional smartphone development.

Dirk Jäckel: From Cloud to Edge: Practical On-Device LLM Integration on AndroidThe assumption that LLM inference requires cloud infrastructure is increasingly outdated. This talk examines the current state of local language models on Android, covering model availability (including Liquid AI’s models and Google’s Gemini Nano), hardware constraints, and developer APIs. As a hands-on case study, we present an Android application leveraging Gemini Nano for on-device auto-tagging — demonstrating how to integrate MediaPipe / ML Kit-based inference into a production workflow.

Android developers get together for informal discussion of mobile technologies. Everyone is welcome, all interests and skill levels. Stop by to talk about the mobile industry, debug some Android code, or hang out with other techies and coders. We are happy to meet in-person.
