PyData Warsaw #10: Deep & Machine Learning + After Party

Szczegóły

This will be the tenth PyData Warsaw regular meetup at Centrum Szkoleniowe Adgar Ochota near Warszawa Zachodnia station (English: Warsaw West).

Location: http://en.adgarochota.pl/contact/location

room number: "Event Room"

Our presentations will be:

  1. Rafał Prońko - How to localize the product on different marketplaces?
When thinking about e-commerce localization, categorization is often the first thing to come to mind. But anything like title, site navigation, search results, attribute extraction, filter matching, and more can be localized using a combination of machine-learning algorithms and rule-based localization. In my presentation, I show briefly how in Webinterpret we used machine learning to localize products.

  2. Mateusz Opala & Andrzej Brożek - Object detection using Deep Learning

There’s been enormous progress in object detection algorithms. Starting from multi-stage ones like R-CNN to end-to-end ones like SSD or YOLO, accuracy of the methods improved significantly. Current applications include pedestrian detection for cars and face detection on facebook.
But that’s just the beginning. We are going to show the algorithms for solving the problem, show what’s currently possible, and what will be possible in the near future.

  1. Rudradeb Mitra - Predictive analytics with Neural Networks

Companies are using predictive analytics in various ways - from predicting customer buying behavior to predicting heath risk or predicting the future breakdown of trucks. In this talk, the speaker will explain what is predictive analytics. Then he will show through examples on how Machine learning is used to make time series predictions and what the future holds.

Doors open at 18:00, talks start at 18:30pm, about 9pm we move to a pub. We are ready to host 150 folk in the room so there may be plenty of people to discuss data science questions with!

Please remember to unRSVP if you realize you can't make it - it will help a lot for our crew.

And make sure you follow @pydatawarsaw for any updates and early announcements.
