About topic: This talk presents a real-world case study of a smart home monitoring system deployed in Wilga retreat center. The project explores the challenges of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from a heterogeneous IoT sensor network consisting of WiFi and Zigbee devices. The system integrates Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana for data acquisition, storage, and visualization. Isolation Forest model enables data-based ML anomaly detection. The presentation walks through the entire development process - from problem definition and research, through system design and implementation, to field testing - highlighting both the technical and practical aspects of monitoring complex IoT environments.
About speaker: Michał works as a Monitoring Tool Specialist at T-Mobile PL, building monitoring and maintenance solutions for T-Hub's IoT Core DevOps team. He’s also completing his master's in IoT Engineering at WUT, where his research explores ML, IoT, and data visibility.
