18:30: Max R. Carrara — Strong Types, Stronger Guarantees: Compile-Time Checking Techniques
Max will present how to leverage Rust's strong type system to enforce invariants at compile-time and teach you techniques you can use to implement your own custom-tailored static assertions, drawing inspiration from the industry.

19:00: Break - Food, Drinks & Socialising

19:30: Willi Ye — DS Emulation in Rust
Willi has written his own Nintendo DS emulator for the Playstation Vita — which also includes an ARM32 Just-in-Time Compiler — and will demonstrate how safety can impact performance and present ways to bypass the compiler's safety measures with unsafe.

20:00: Closing Address
Have perhaps another bite, another drink, friendly (or heated 👀) discussions in a cozy atmosphere.
