Rust Meetup #34

Szczegóły

Let’s talk about Rust during the 34th community meetup - the last one before summer break!
Once again, we invite you to the Anixe office, where we will listen to two presentations from Rust community members.
The event will be streamed on the Rust Wrocław channel.
AGENDA:
18:00 – Introduction

18:10 – Bazyli Zygan – Web Assembly - how to write web apps in Rust?

A short tour of Web Assembly (WASM) in its natural environment - Web Browser. How does the interaction between Rust and the web browser work? Is it even worth using it?
A short story of WASM evolution and state of work.
Examples made in common Rust web frameworks such as Yew and Leptos
Speed, efficiency and security comparisons.
And what is yet to come?

19:00 – Break!

19:30: Patryk Wychowaniec - (r)IDE on a (t)IDE with my IDE: Why Emacs + Rust?
Since I spent most of my days looking at a text editor, editing texts and texting edits, I've had the chance of going through lots of programs, plugins, IDEs and ideas; some better, some worse.
In this talk I'm going to show you what I've learned and how a typical day in my editor looks like nowadays. I'll show you lots of tricks that make working with code, Git, and filesystem easier, less error-prone, and more comfortable.
Note that even though I'm an Emacs-guy myself, my hopes are that you'll be able to apply those tips to whatever other editor you're using - so don't consider this a conversion-talk as much as just-sharing-some-general-ideas kind of a talk!

Difficulty: there's going to be something for everybody!
