Join us for an untutored life drawing session with a male model. The session starts with brief warm-up poses of two minutes, followed by a series of 5-25 minute poses. Our models are professional fine art models affiliated with the Beaux-Arts de Paris, Académie de la Grande Chaumière and other Parisian life drawing ateliers. Please bring your preferred art materials. After the session, we come together for a relaxed drink and chat. It's a chance to share your drawings from the session and discuss drawing tips & techniques. You can also connect with fellow artists, exchange contacts, and promote your artistic projects. If you prefer a more self-directed approach, you are welcome to work independently at any time. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists. It offers a supportive environment to develop your artistic style while exploring different aspects of academic drawing or painting, experimenting with new techniques, or refining compositional ideas. Ce dimanche, nous allons dessiner à la Felicita, un lieu des restauration et de divertissement, pour une session de dessin de portraits ou pour dessiner le lieux lui-même, selon la place dont on disposera et le nombre de personnes inscrites. Pour ceux qui voudront faire des portraits, nous nous dessinerons mutuellement ! 😊 On se retrouve à 14h30 à l'entrée du café. Apportez votre matériel de dessin et votre carnet de croquis. Tous niveaux bienvenus. Ce meetup est gratuit. Cependant, dans le café, au moins une consommation par personne est obligatoire. This Sunday, we will draw at La Felicita, a restaurant and entertainment venue, for a portrait session or to draw the place itself, depending on the space available and the number of people registered. For those who want to take portraits, we will draw each other! 😊 We'll meet at 2:30 p.m. at the entrance to the café. Bring your drawing materials and sketchbook. All levels welcome. This meetup is free. However, in the café, at least one drink per person is obligatory.

The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome.
