**NEW GAME LOCATION at The Board Room** Let's play board games. Not the ones your ancestors played but the really cool ones of the new millennium. We play everything from fun, social games to light to heavy strategy games. Don't know how to play? Not a problem - we're happy to teach. It's a great chance to learn new games or play your favorites with non-competitive people who like to laugh. You can build a railroad, eradicate a plague, or explore the far reaches of the galaxy in one evening. While many will bring their own games, you can show up gameless and still play. We play at the Board Room in Clarendon on Wednesday from 6:30-10:00. It's within walking distance from the Clarendon metro. **Find us in the far left by the fermentation tanks.** If that area is reserved for a private event, look for us in the middle. Look for a group that has containers and carrying bags with multiple games. We're very fortunate to have this great venue for our game nights and they take care of us for 3-1/2 hours, so please spend a minimum of $10 on food or drink and tip generously (at the very least $2, even if 20% of your bill would be $1). It’s been a few months since our last get together. An early thaw is on tap this week. This community of Pizza people have never visited Boogy and Peel, currently the number 3 ranked pizza joint in DC on yelp, It is a quick walk near the Dupont Circle metro, with fun shops near by (Help me find something useful rather than used vinyl). So come on by for some fellowship, a slice and some respite from the darkest days of winter.

Mini Relief Two-Part Class Tuesdays from 7PM to 9:30PM Session 1: Jan 6 & 20 \| Session 2: Jan 13 & 27 Session 1 serves as an introduction to relief through the easy cut method with a rubber stamp medium block. Participants will practice hand printing on Japanese paper through multiple iterations, and then proceed to mount their images. Completing these exercises will demonstrate how different blocks can be used interchangeably in a modular format, which will prepare them for creating a small book. All materials will be provided as part of the registration fee. Session 2 will involve collaboration among participants to create an accordion-style book utilizing blocks made in session one. There will be an opportunity to refine blocks and make artistic choices as a group to determine how the different compositions can be incorporated into a completed piece. Additionally, new printing techniques like rainbow rolls will be introduced to provide variety. All materials will be provided as part of the registration fee, and participants are encouraged to bring their materials from session one.

We will have 2-3 sessions in a row that relate to the same series topic, but each meeting will involve unique materials and content. Wild Ones: Annual Native Seed Swap January 10, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am Join Wild Ones Columbus for their annual native seeds swap. If you have native seeds to share, please label them with the Latin name and common name. The seeds don’t need to be removed from the seed head if you aren’t sure how to do it, but remove as much stem as possible. Bringing seeds is not required. Bring bags or envelopes to store seeds. Please email the list of species to Mary May so we can prepare information for attendees. You can bring the seeds on the day of the swap, or we can arrange to have them picked up beforehand - just let her know in the email. If you don’t have any seeds to bring, no worries. If you are new to native plants or didn't have time to collect seeds, there are ALWAYS plenty from those that do bring them! We love to see "newbies" at our seed exchange!
