Let's dive into latest capabilities of Flutter on desktop. Multi-windows support is (almost) here, and with a bit of work you can achieve quite polished look and feel of a proper desktop app. How does Flutter compare to Tauri (Rust) and why companies always come back to writing desktop apps in Electron.

Why do we still choose Python, JavaScript, bash or other languages to write development tools? While those tools are great for quick hacks, they often become a nightmare to maintain as your tools grow. Dart provides a great development experience, native AOT compilation, sound type safety, a rich ecosystem of pub.dev packages and most importantly a language we all love and enjoy. In this talk I’ll discuss why you should write your next development script or tool in plain Dart and I’ll equip you with the knowledge to do so comfortably and pain-free.
We will start with simple Dart scripts that can be run from the terminal, move forward to a bit more complex CLI tools and dive deeper into building MCPs with Dart’s official package.
