Databricks Oslo User Group

This is a group for anyone interested in Databricks. All skill levels are welcome. Avanade Norway started this group to meet other people excited about the possibilities in Databricks and to exchange knowledge and experiences.

We are excited about Databricks as a platform to unify data engineers, data scientist and data analysts. It allows for fast processing of data by distributing it among multiple nodes/computers in a cluster. Databricks also handles streaming and performing machine learning and advanced analytics on the data.  However, one of most attractive features is the ability to work using four different programming languages - SQL, R, Python and Scala - which makes it way easier to collaborate among developers with different skills.

The user group aims to arrange 5-6 physical meetings per year in the Oslo area.
