Introductions and Innovations

The first 30 minutes of of this inaugural meeting of the Salt Lake City Chapter of PyData will be spent greeting, gathering, and sharing a little pizza and snacks.

The next hour will feature Travis Oliphant providing a brief overview of PyData, NumFOCUS, and Quansight followed by a talk on recent updates and innovations in PyData including NumPy, SciPy, JupyterLab, PyViz, Dask, Numba, XND, and Conda.

After the talk, we will have time for mingling and meeting. Let us know if you would like to help organize this and other PyData events.
