About What the agents?! The good, the bad, and the autonomous:
Imagine you fell asleep as a coder right before COVID. Yeah - that was 6 years ago already. You wake up, stretch, open your IDE, and...
Wait.
What do you mean we don't code anymore? What the hell is "vibing"? Why is someone named Mythos on my bank statement?? Harness?! - are we riding horses now, or is this some kinky stuff? And why did our CEO commit 40,000 lines of code last Friday night??
Welcome to 2026.
In this talk, we'll speedrun the agent gold rush of the last 12 months - what actually shipped, what spectacularly didn't, and what's quietly eating your backlog while you read this.
About Mateusz Hordyński:
Mateusz is a Senior ML Tech Lead at deepsense.ai, where he designs #generativeAI applications, builds large-scale data platforms, and leads projects across data engineering, #MLOps, #RAG systems, and #agentic applications. He’s also the lead maintainer of the open-source project db-ally and one of the people driving technical knowledge-sharing initiatives inside the company.
What the agents?! The good, the bad, and the autonomous - on latest happening in agents world and new inspirations.
About The Future of RPA. Hybrid RPA with AI Agents and Human-in-the Loop:
This presentation explores the evolution of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) from rulebased task execution to intelligent, hybrid automation ecosystems. It begins with a brief introduction to RPA technology, outlining its core principles and highlighting where it is most commonly applied across industries. The talk examines why RPA has become a standard in large enterprises - focusing on efficiency, cost optimization, and process standardization - while also addressing why small and medium - sized businesses should increasingly consider adopting automation to remain competitive. A key focus is the future of RPA, where traditional robots are augmented by AI-driven agents. These agents operate as specialized virtual workers, often deployed on virtual machines and integrated into organizational structures similarly to human employees. The presentation highlights the emergence of narrowly specialized AI agents running on secure, locally hosted models, enabling greater control, compliance, and adaptability. To illustrate this concept, a Proof of Concept (PoC) will be presented, showcasing a hybrid workflow that combines RPA, an AI Agent, and a Human-in-the-Loop approach within an HR process - specifically in the area of intelligent document recognition and decision support. The session concludes by discussing why such hybrid solutions are not only technologically feasible but also highly scalable and cost - effective, positioning them as a natural next step for organizations aiming to build resilient and future-ready automation strategies.
About Mariusz Kwiatkiwski-Heltman:
Mariusz Kwiatkowski - Heltman - Business Process Automation specialist in Hapag Lloyd Knowledge Center in Gdańsk with 4 years of hands-on experience in RPA, including 2 years working with UiPath and 2 years with Blue Prism. Focused on designing and implementing scalable automation solutions across enterprise environments, with a growing interest in combining RPA with AI - driven capabilities. Currently exploring the evolution of traditional automation into hybrid models that integrate AI agents and Human-in-the-Loop approaches. Actively working on proof-of-concept solutions, including business processes across different tools, HR process automation leveraging intelligent document processing and AI-assisted decision flows. Passionate about bridging the gap between deterministic automation and adaptive AI systems to create more resilient, efficient, and human-centric digital workflows.
