Szczegóły

Pykonik is a community of those using, learning, or curious about Python. Please also check out our website, where you can sign up to give a talk at the next meeting: https://pykonik.org

This time we welcome you to the new venue in the spaces of ECHO Miasta (Kapelanka 56)!

THE TALKS:

- Gracjan Adamus -- Dr. nanobind_json or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Fix an Unmaintained Package

nanobind is an official successor to a well-known and very often used package called pybind11. It lets you create seamless Python bindings from C++ code, in a quick and maintainable manner.
An additional package for pybind11 was developed, which enabled sending JSONs between Python and C++. It was used by an open-source package that I am a contributor to.
When we decided to migrate to nanobind, we discovered that the nanobind-equivalent package, that is even linked from the pybind11_json readme, does not work at all.
In this talk I will present the fun and un-fun parts of my journey towards fixing this package. I will also quickly go over what nanobind is, what led us to using JSONs between Python and C++, and of course some code snippets. Most of the code will probably C++, but related to Python ;p

-------------

- Vladyslav Fedoriuk -- Building robust MCP servers with Python and FastMCP

Building robust MCP servers requires moving beyond basic decorators toward structured architecture and design principles that ensure maintainability and testability. This session covers efficient tool modeling, context management, and real-world production examples, while addressing critical OAuth implementation and FastMCP scaling caveats. Attendees will learn how to build servers that are not only easy to evaluate but also maintainable and resilient under high-concurrency workloads.
