### Arcade Cabinet Requirements
For extra immersion, consider making your submissions compatible with our custom-built arcade cabinets! These cabinets reside across the city (including at Platform Calgary) and are a fantastic way to showcase your button-mashing, stick-jolting games!
It's easier than you think! Here's a link to our simple guidelines!### Teams
Teams should be limited to a maximum of five members, both for best practices and due to the limited prizes available.
Attendees may come with a team already organized; however, in the spirit of the jam, it's preferred that you form a team at the event once the theme has been announced. Use this event as an opportunity to meet new people, learn each other's skill sets, and work with someone different!
Help us make this event a positive experience for everyone! Be generous, kind, and respectful to your teammates and others. If you notice someone is still looking for a team, please do your best to take them in.### Jam Rules
You're welcome to utilize any tools/technologies/game engines you wish, as we highly encourage that all assets (code, art, sounds, etc.) should be creative during the game jam. If you use premade assets, you must credit the original creator on your submission page.
While we acknowledge proficiency with generative AI, we discourage and prohibit the use of any AI-generated code, art, sound, etc. You must have the rights to use the content included in your game. Open-source and public domain assets are encouraged.
The Calgary Game Developers Association is dedicated to creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment.
