This is a taught drop-in life class with a tutor. Attendees will be guided through various exercises and techniques in drawing the figure from life.
The class is suitable far all levels, from artists who want to brush up on their skills to those who are just starting off in drawing.
This session is devoted to traditional fine art drawing, with an emphasis on form, structure and anatomy. A variety of poses of various lengths will be explored, with at least one long pose. At the end of the session there will an opportunity for a very informal group critique.
Easels, drawing boards and basic materials will be supplied as well as tea and coffee for the break.

• The Tutor: Tadhg McGrath has a degree in Painting from Central St.Martin's College in London, and a Masters in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, where he teaches drawing and painting occasionally.

I thought the class went well, thanks to everyone who came along and struggled with the sticks. I hope everyone got something out of it. Sophie was the perfect model and much thanks also to the people who set up the easels and helped clear up the room afterwards. I think it was tidier when we left than when we arrived. Next taught class is August 13th. We will probably have a male model for this one. Hopefully see you then.
