Come along to hear some amazing talks about React, JS, and the current state of the ecosystem from your peers in the community, then relax with some drinks (alcoholic + non-alcoholic) and pizza (incl. vegetarian) while having a yarn ( <- JS related pun 🐈) with other Sydney-siders also interested in React!

Talks
Graphql and React Relay
"Want to give an introduction on how graphql and relay are used at unibet racing client. How it helps to reduce the amount of http request and how it makes data access easier (potentially how it's different from redux)" (more details (https://github.com/reactsydney/talks/issues/47))
- Bo Chen (https://github.com/bochen2014)
React and GraphQL at the Powerhouse Museum
"At the Powerhouse Museum (part of MAAS), we have completely rebuilt our online catalogue of 140,000 objects using React (Universal JS), GraphQL and Elasticsearch" (more details (https://github.com/reactsydney/talks/issues/47))
- Kaho Cheung (https://twitter.com/unkleho)
Progressive Web Apps with React and what this means for future development
"PWAs are coined to be the next big development in web, basically follows extreme caching and webworkers, some big names are using it, and you should too" (more details (https://github.com/reactsydney/talks/issues/45))
----
We're always on the lookout for presenters for future meetups, any length talk is great (10 minutes through to 60 minutes if you want!). We're interested in first time speakers (if you haven't given a talk before, now is your chance) and old-hats alike!
We're trying something different and using GitHub Issues (https://github.com/reactsydney/talks/blob/master/README.md) for talk submissions. This way people can ask questions, give feedback and +1 their favourites, all out in the open.
Submit your talk now! (https://github.com/reactsydney/talks/issues/new?body=Talk%20Date%0A%0A%0ATalk%20Title%0A%0A%0ALength%0A%0A%0A**Twitter-sized%20Overview%20(140%20characters)%0A%0A%0ADetailed%20Overview**%0A)
