Detalhes

On Freedom Day, the Aljube Museum-Resistance and Freedom will open its doors to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Let’s go together, to see the new temporary exhibition about the women prisoners, take the time to learn about Portugal’s political history — how people lived under dictatorship and how the liberation struggle eventually led to the April 25, 1974 revolution.

After the visit, we’ll head out to see a new mural, then take a short walk to Miradouro de Santa Luzia. With a drink in hand, we'll exchange thoughts and impressions-honoring the courage of the Portuguese who fought for the freedom we can still enjoy today.
