12th Latin American BISH Bash: Acoustic, Speech and Audio Processing
Detalhes
LatAm BISH Bash is a series of meetings and networking events that connect engineers, researchers, students, and companies working on speech, acoustics, and audio processing.
In this meeting we will hear from Francesco Foscarin, with his talk titled "Stabilizing the Rhythm: Causes and Solutions for Erratic Beat Tracking". In his presentation, he will discuss how masked diffusion can help to improve beat tracking.
The online event will happen on July 15th at
- 12 PM EST (UTC -5)
- 1 PM BRT (UTC-3)
- 6 PM CEST (UTC+2)
More about the presenter:
Francesco Foscarin is a data scientist at Music AI, where he researches MIR tasks, with particular focus on beat tracking. He has previously been a postdoctoral researcher at Johannes Kepler University, Linz, where he started his work in beat tracking and tackled a wide range of other problems, with publications on automatic score engraving, sound event detection, neural network explainability, and optical music recognition. He received a doctoral degree in Computer Science from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, Paris, a master's degree in Informatics Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, a master's degree in classical piano, and a bachelor's degree in jazz piano, both from the Conservatory of Vicenza.
