With more than 600 events with over 10,000 participants, we at Expats & Locals Cascais are excited to meet you.
We are a community-driven group, but what does that actually mean? To us, it represents the many different cultures we bring together. Locals, tourists, and expats alike have all their place here, each member friendly and eager to share their experiences and culture with the next. And with the number of events we participate in, thereâs no doubt that youâll find your place in our community.
Over the past year, our organizers and regulars have become avid enthusiasts of all things Cascais and meet often to enjoy the many beautiful things one can find here. No matter where we find ourselves, we keep the environment welcoming and friendly to all. To us, there is nothing more important than creating a space where good conversations can lead to ever better friendships.
So, whether youâre looking for a casual gathering of strangers and friends, or if youâre looking for company in an upcoming holiday or event, youâll find us there.

Cascais Midweek Mingle: Auchan Foodcourt (upstairs, either on terrace or inside)

Whether youâre looking for some time away after a busy day of work or simply looking for a casual crowd, this is a space for you to make your own. Show up as you are and share your story. As a community made of expats, locals, and tourists, the energies and experiences youâll encounter here are bound to keep you coming back. We have no agenda, there is no pressure. This is just a place for you to kick back on a Wednesday night.
The Midweek Mingle is only getting bigger. Come solo or bring a friend. This meetup is queer friendly; everyone is welcome here.
Venue: Auchan

How to find us: We'll be at the terrace area within the market boundaries during the summer. Look for a table with a meetup tag hanging from one of the umbrella stands. During the winter we will be inside in front of the restaurant Maria Pimenta.
About the venue: The Auchan food court features a terrace with an incredible view of the ocean, and an adjacent inside area. Though there is no obligation to purchase anything to hang out at the tables, you can also get a variety of food and drinks from the food courtâs restaurants or the supermarket downstairs.
Guidelines for the event:
1.) Respect the RSVP
A lot of time and energy go into making the Midweek Mingle happen. From organising to making the experience great for everyone, this truly is an event that comes from our hearts. As such, we kindly ask that if youâve RSVPâd, you honour it. If youâre running late, no worries! Just know that once the event has started, it is slightly trickier for us to communicate or step away from the group.2.) Feedback, not reviews
As it is our goal to make this event better with every meetup, we prefer to use a more effective space to receive and engage with feedback.
