Making Meaning: Unstructured data and the world of start up

WiMLDS NC is excited to re-engage with our rich community of women and advocates working in ML/AI and data science here in North Carolina! As we start-up again with WiMLDS events, please join us virtually to hear Dr. English Sall share her journey and lessons learned as a woman creating and running a tech startup in Research Triangle Park.

English Sall is a the Co-founder and CEO of Cymantix, a small tech startup spun out from UNC’s Carolina Health Informatics program. Sall also serves as a board member of the Sall Family Foundation, as well as several global health and development organizations. She is also the co-founder of Embark, a gender justice initiative serving grassroots feminist movements, and is currently serving as a post-doctoral fellow at the Carolina Health Informatics Program at the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health.

The event will October 12 at 4pm, as a virtual meetup with a quick introduction of some of the new co-organizers of WiMLDS NC and an introduction and presentation from English, followed by Q/A and networking session. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
