Hey everyone, I was told today that Oxley Nature Center is holding a Winter Solstice event! The plan is for everyone to craft lanterns around a campfire and then we will use them to illuminate the path on our group walk throughout the forest! Sounds fun!

Winter Solstice Walk
December 21, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Embrace the Winter Solstice at Oxley Nature Center, where we invite you to join us for a celebration of the longest and darkest night of the year. Gather by the campfire as we craft lanterns to illuminate the path on a self-guided walk through the forest. This community gathering is intended to be a time to slow down and honor the magic of the season. This is a free event for all ages and all supplies will be provided. Registration is not required, but please RSVP online or by calling the Nature Center to help us plan.

Savastano’s Pizza hosts a Music Bingo night on Fridays. (Downstairs from the pizzeria in the attached “Franks Tavern”) It’s not hard to play- they will play a song aloud, and if it’s on your card, you mark it!

Typically, someone else at the table knows the song (even if you don’t) so don’t let that stop you from joining us! Cheating with Google or Shazam is also allowed 🤣.

Bingo starts at 7pm however they start handing out bingo cards at 6:45pm and there is a limited number of cards. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure you get a bingo card.

Hey everyone, this event will be East Coast Swing dancing at [TOSS: The Oklahoma Swing Syndicate](https://www.theoklahomaswingsyndicate.org/). They host a beginner Swing dancing lesson on the 1st and 3rd Saturday every month from 7:00pm-7:30pm followed by a social dance from 7:30pm-10:00pm.

These events have worked out well in the past with having other people in the group to dance and socialize with, and also because a lot of the other class attendees outside of our group are new as well and there are TOSS volunteers around to help anyone, and so it is always fun and a good time, even if you have never been dancing in your life before!

I encourage anyone that normally wouldn't participate in such an activity to get out of their comfort zone and come look like a fool and laugh and have a good time with us!

**The cost for the beginner lesson (7:00p-7:30p) and the social dance (7:30p-10:00p) is $7 ($5 for TOSS members), paid at admission.**

We can meet at the community center 10 minutes (6:50pm) before the beginner lesson for introductions, and everyone can stay out as late or leave as early as you wish.
