This session explores a critical area where AI-generated database recommendations can be misleading, why these mistakes are often difficult to detect, and how developers can independently validate optimisation suggestions.
The talk will include a live `.explain()` walkthrough using **MongoDB 8.0**, highlighting how query planning and performance behaviour have evolved since many existing tutorials and online examples were published.
