Welcome! Welcome to the Hau`oli Strummers Ukulele Club of San Diego. Hau’oli is Hawaiian for happy and that’s what we are. We are a great community of uke players who get together to strum, sing, learn, teach, share, and most of all, have fun. We welcome anyone and everyone to join us.
Skill Level We welcome all skill levels from the newest uke noobs to total uke stars. If you’ve never strummed or sung a note in your life, our club is a great place to be. The strum-along format makes it easy to join in while you’re learning. If leading a song is your jam, there are plenty of opportunities to do just that.
Music We play a wide variety of music including Rock, Pop, Country, Standards, Hawaiian and more. Over the years we have compiled a great Hau'oli Strummers Songbook and a Google Songbank containing the songs we play at our music jams. Songbooks are available as a free PDF. A link to the Songbank is included on the Meetup event descriptions.
When Our weekly meetups are on Tuesday nights starting at 6:00 or 6:30 (6pm Downtown Cafe, 6:30 at the other locations) and ending between 8 - 9 pm. We participate in other events too. Click the 'Events' tab above for more information. Join us at a Tuesday Night Meetup jam; it's super fun.

This event is a Zoom of the In-Person Meetup which is "Strum Along" format meaning everyone plays and sings each song at the same time. The first half may include a Setlist w/ a link posted in the In-Person Meetup. All other songs will be requests from the club's Online Songbank and book.

April 21 Come sing and play some of Motown's greatest hits from The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Four Tops, The Jackson Five, and Wilson Pickett. SPECIAL REQUEST - ORDER FOOD BY 6 PM:
We try to support Marie Callender's by getting dinner or pie 🥧 BUT we've grown (a LOT ... double) and we're a lot of work. They request that we TRY TO ORDER BY 6 PM so their staff can handle our large group.The 2nd Half, as always, will be strummers' choice from the NEW SONGBANK in GoogleDocs. Please come sing at a mic 🎤 where we can all join as you lead or help lead your favorite song. It's fun! Everyone, including Zoomers, can find links below.
If you have the SongbookPro APP 🎵 by Jonathan Salmon we can send you the Setlist in SBP format. In any case we still try to provide a PDF link (Note: occasionally a song doesn't format correctly in the PDF for some reason and we apologize.)

Bring your uke and play along. We will project the songs. We are meeting INDOORS in the community room located up a short flight of stairs near the restrooms (there is a ramp option). There are tables and chairs to use. We hope to see you there!! H
