Welcome ladies who want to learn canyoneering/canyoning core skills!!. We provide online and in-person education. We are a not for profit women's organization dedicated to promoting women in the sport of canyoneering through clinics, camps, scholarships, community, and Ladies Only Canyoneering
Festivals. Canyoneering Chicks facilitates the opportunity for women to learn from other women how to become skilled, competent, and self-reliant Canyoneers. Canyoneering Chicks achieves its aims through:

We will hold a virtual prep meeting about 14 days prior to the event to discuss logistics and answer questions. We would like all participants to attend the prep meeting. Please comment on this Meetup event if you will need to miss the meeting so hosts can touch base with you.Meeting Location:

❏ Rappel device (no ATC devices)

We have gear available to rent for $5 per item or $25 for full setup (harness, helmet, rappel device, 3 carabiners, and safety tether). Please request rental gear during event registration (see link above)
*We do not have wetsuits for rental.*What to have in your pack:
❏ Ultra-light waterproof jacket
❏ Lightweight synthetic or fleece jacket
❏ Long sleeve technical layer (UnderArmor, wool, synthetic)
❏ Microfleece stocking cap for under helmet
❏ Gloves, do not have to be neoprene
❏ Snacks, meals
❏ 2-3L water in water bottles (no bladders!)
❏ Beta and/or GPS, optional for this trip
❏ Toileting kit/wag bags
❏ Sunscreen
