Exploring some of the nuances in Kanban that most of us get wrong
Detalhes
About the Talk
You've set up your board. You've defined your columns. You've added WIP limits. You're doing Kanban.
Or are you?
Most of us learned Kanban the same way: a training course, a consultant, a framework guide. We absorbed the language, adopted the practices, and got on with it. But what if some of that language is quietly working against you? What if your workflow is visualising your silos rather than your flow? What if your WIP limits are the right idea, expressed in entirely the wrong way?
This session doesn't challenge Kanban. It challenges what most of us have done with it.
Through an honest, practitioner-level lens, we'll examine how common Kanban concepts behave very differently in complex knowledge work than the frameworks suggest. We'll explore why the language, habits, and designs most of us default to often obscure the very flow we're trying to create.
Expect sharper questions more than easy answers, and a few moments that may make you look at your board very differently.
This session is aimed at experienced Kanban practitioners, coaches, and leaders ready to move beyond the textbook and challenge (some of) their views on Kanban.
