According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Black women experience health crises such as: heart attacks, diabetes, strokes, and cancers, at higher rates than their White counterparts. Contrary to popular belief, these illnesses are NOT always hereditary but can be caused by lifestyle choices.
Women in this Meetup group are committed to getting healthy in 2025 regardless of their current health status. We meet virtually monthly to discuss health issues, explore health trends, and encourage each other on our individual health journeys. We also host in-person activities in the Atlanta area. However, you do not have to live in Atlanta to participate in this group.
If you want to move toward a longer, healthier life, this is the group for you!
