Parker,
I am the host to other events and have received similar complaints. However I have found out that this issue is with the recipients meet up.com email settings. They have to change the settings to allow emails from the organizer. I find that the best thing
to do is try to send a private message to people that sign up for events. You will get a error message if the person's account is not set up to receive messages from the organizer. That error message will tell you how to fix the problem. Copy and paste that
message onto the event page with the person's name and say hey you, you need to fix your email settings.
Regards,
Leslie Dixon

Subject: [The-Raleigh-Sci-Fi-Geeks] Free screening to VIP members of the Raleigh Sci-Fi Geeks to The Foreigner at Regal North Hills in Raleigh
I've been told that announcements for events are not automatically being sent out to members so I'm sending this message out to get the word out about the new event.
We have a free screening to VIP members of the Raleigh Sci-Fi Geeks to The Foreigner at Regal North Hills in Raleigh. Check out the VIP event at: https://www.meetup.com/raleigh-sci-fi-geeks/events/243740966/
