Apache Ignite Native Persistence Storage

Details

Persistence in Apache Ignite enables you to consistently save all data to disk and, thus, enables you to survive a node restart. In this presentation, Anton, without going into detail, talks about the architecture of native persistence and explains how the architecture’s components work. You learn about the following:

  • How the work with data is organized (paged memory model, B+ tree)
  • How data is stored on disks and what is meant by partitions in Ignite
  • How Ignite maintains stability and consistency (WAL, checkpoints)
  • How recovery works (recovery)

The presentation will be useful for Apache Ignite users and for novice Apache Ignite contributors.
