NOTE: B&H buses haven't announced their summer timetable at the time of posting this. Bus times may vary and that might mean we tweak the start time of the hike slightly. Check back closer to the time for exact details.
Join us for a walk round the stunning Seven Sisters, one of the most iconic walks in the South Downs. Beautiful scenery, with a pub near the end... we will walk along the Cuckmere river valley and then up along the cliff top path. Then turn round when we get to the cliffs near Birling gap.
We will start at 2pm from the car park, if you are running late please let James know.
Trail: 7.5 miles/12 Km should take approx. 3 hours. The trail is a mix of flats and hills, but all in all it is a pretty easy route. We will stop once or twice and make sure we take time to enjoy the scenery.
What to bring: Snacks & Lunch if you want to (vegan only please), drinks (water not vodka), and a waterproof (because this is the UK). This shouldn't be too muddy a trail and walking boots are not a necessity... but your brand new vans will get dirty, so wear shoes you don't mind getting a bit messed up.
Getting there:
Bus 🚍🚏 the Coaster 12, 12A, 12X, 13 & 13X all stop at Seven Sisters Park Centre (at Exceat).
Recommended: Coaster 12 from Brighton station at 12:30. Which will arrive at Seven Sisters Park Centre at 13:47. James will be getting this one.
Cost is around £7 for a network saver ticket 🎟. You can buy one on the bus, via their app, or you can tap on and off with your card.
Car 🚗 there is a car park, which you have to pay for. It will likely be busy and does not have lots of spots. If you are driving and are happy to give people a lift (in exchange for petrol contribution) please say so in the comments to organise with people.
End and getting back: Its difficult to predict how long it will take us. There is a bus every 15-20 mins up until 18:18 and then every 30 mins after that.
Weather 🌧 This is the UK. The weather is at best unpredictable so we will check the day before and post whether this can go ahead. Light rain will not stop us and even if it looks sunny, bring a waterproof.
Any questions contact James via meetup.
All attendees will be expected to adhere to our code of conduct, which can be found here
