The Brothers Karamazov (Soviet movie with ENG Subs)

It goes without saying that it is not an easy task to take on a literary giant like the Dostoevsky Brothers Karamazov. However, the Russians have a long and successful tradition when it comes to filming great literary works. Ivan Pyriev's The Brothers Karamazov is one such film. Pyrjev is very faithful to the novel and manages to incorporate some of the most important elements from the novel, including key parts of the theme around faith, doubt, guilt and atonement.
