This word is everywhere, though you have a hard time figuring out exactly what it's about. This workshop sheds light on that notion through several examples of web APIs you use in your daily life (Google Maps, Twitter, Twilio). Here's what you'll do: You will be guided through the basics of Ruby and will discover the pillars of programming, common to most languages (variables, methods, loops and more). You will code your first lines of Ruby using Le Wagon's exersize platform. - Bring your laptop (not your work one because of the security blocks). - You do not need any previous coding experience. Having started his career as a Software Engineer, and completing an M.B.A at London Business School, he’s climbed the ranks in companies ranging from NeXT (Steve Jobs, not the clothing store) and the Financial Times to Avis Europe; Trayport to CPA Global and more tech heavyweights. He oversees global strategy in multiple cross-functional teams and implements constant iteration and innovation, based on his knowledge of product management, software engineering, software architecture and the cloud/AI that’s he’s built up in his 20+ years experience in tech leadership roles. Mark can scrape by in 3 languages, loves exercise and enjoys just messing about with his three children.
