THE PENTATONIC (5-note) CLAWHAMMER (strum technique)

Let's expand our musical vocabulary (not to mention our technique) with this session focusing on pentatonic scales and the clawhammer strum. This down-picking (bum-ditty) strum has its origins in the banjo and bluegrass. NSUS member, David Vish, will show us how to apply it to the uke incorporating 5-note scale traditional songs like "Oh, Susanna" and "Amazing Grace".
